Hotel El Manglar is a family dream brought to life by three Costa Rican brothers who are passionate about sharing the magic of their homeland. Our mission is simple: to offer you a unique, joyful, and truly unforgettable experience in paradise.
 

Our journey in hospitality began in 2004 with the opening of Mi Casa Hostel in Costa Rica’s vibrant capital, San José. After six wonderful years welcoming travelers from around the world, our love for the ocean and nature brought us to Playa Grande—one of our favorite places on Earth—where we opened Hotel El Manglar.
 

Nestled at the edge of Parque Nacional Marino Las Baulas, this is not just a hotel—it’s our way of sharing the extraordinary beauty of this region. Here, every day is a celebration of life, with world-class surf, breathtaking sunsets, and daily visits from turtles, monkeys, parrots, iguanas, and more.
 

Our team combines local knowledge with a global perspective, shaped by years of experience in travel and hospitality. This allows us to truly understand what our guests seek: meaningful experiences, authentic moments, and a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect.
