Where is Hotel El Manglar located?We are located in Palm Beach States, Playa Grande, Guanacaste, Costa Rica—just steps from the beach and inside the beautiful Marino Las Baulas National Park.

How far is the hotel from the airport?We are about a 1.5-hour drive from Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia. Transportation can be arranged upon request.

Do you offer airport shuttle service?Yes, we offer shuttle services to and from Liberia International Airport or Juan Santa Maria Airport in the Capital(SJO). Please contact us in advance to arrange your pick-up.

How close is the beach from the hotel?The beach is just a 2-minute walk away, and we have a beach access right in front of the hotel exclusively for our guests. Playa Grande offers wide open sand, great surf, and unforgettable sunsets.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?Our rates do not include breakfast by default, but it can be added for $13 USD per person, per day. A delicious way to start your morning in paradise!

Do you have a restaurant or food options on-site?While we don't have a full-service restaurant directly at the hotel, our sister property just 150 meters away features Bistro Cantarana, a charming restaurant offering a variety of delicious local and international dishes. In addition, there are two more restaurants within walking distance.

Do you offer tours or activities?Absolutely! We can help you book a variety of local experiences such as surf lessons, turtle watching tours (seasonal), horseback riding, zip-lining, and more.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?Yes, all our rooms are equipped with air conditioning for your comfort.

Is there a pool at the hotel?Yes, we have a refreshing outdoor pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens and lounge areas.

Are pets allowed?Yes, we are pet-friendly, but it is subject to availability. Some rooms are not suitable for larger breeds or certain dog sizes. There is also an additional charge of $10 per night for pets. Please contact us in advance to confirm availability and make arrangements for your furry friend.

What is your cancellation policy?If you cancel your reservation 8 days before your arrival full refund of the deposit is applicable and/or no charges. Cancellations 7 days prior to your arrival date and in case of no show, late arrival or early departure, the entire stay will be charged.

Do you have parking available?Yes, we offer free private parking for our guests and we provide parking passes for your car during your stay.

Is Playa Grande safe for swimming and surfing?Yes, Playa Grande is a popular and safe beach for surfing. Swimming is possible, but please be mindful of tides and currents.

When is turtle nesting season?Turtle nesting season typically runs from October to March. Guided tours are available in season.

What should I pack for my stay?Swimsuit, flip-flops, sunscreen, bug spray, and a big smile! Keep it light, tropical, and ready for adventure—this is Pura Vida living.

Do you offer surfboard rentals?Yes! We have surfboards available for daily rental. If you're staying longer, ask about our weekly special rate—a great deal for surfers who never want to miss a session!
