The “el Manglar” is a beautiful and charming hotel inside of the national park “Baulas” in Playa Grande. The well-tended landscaping reminds of paradise with one of the most beautiful pools around in its center. Since we are just one walking minute from the beach and there are four Restaurants reachable in between ten minutes you could benefit from a great location.

All our rooms dispose of a private bathroom and are cleaned daily. For guests that would like to stay with us for a longer period and prefer to enjoy our unique ambiance during lunch or diner time as well we can offer our Villa Rooms with fully equipped kitchen and terrace.

The Playa Grande beach attracts surfers from all over the world and offers because of its length enough private space for everybody. During the months of November through December the famous leatherback turtles visit us every year to leave their procreation. Between January and March the little turtles start searching their way to the ocean. A nature spectacle that we would like to keep and which, unfortunately, gets more and more seldom.

Since Playa Grande is in a national park and the estuary and mangroves offer a perfect habitat for wildlife, from crabs over monkeys up to big crocodiles you are able to see everything.

Close to Playa Grande, on the other side of the estuary particularly, you can find the famous tourist destination Tamarindo. You can reach it in between 20 from the hotel. It provides you with a great contrast to the idyll of Playa Grande.
